Job summary

WSP USA is seeking a Sr. BRT Design Project Manager to lead Bus Rapid Transit projects from concept through construction in our Boston, MA and Washington DC offices. You will act as a technical expert, manage medium to large projects, negotiate contracts, and oversee scope, schedule, and budget while traveling as needed.

A PE license and 12+ years in corridor/transit projects are required. Additionally, you will collaborate with agencies, present at conferences, contribute to market growth, and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• 12+ years in corridor development or transit projects.
• Experience with Bus Rapid Transit (BRT).
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• Experience collaborating with transit agencies.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Familiar with public meetings and community engagement.

Responsibilities

• Act as a technical expert on BRT projects from concept to construction.
• Provide Project Management on medium to large projects, including contract negotiation and managing scope, schedule, and budget.
• Support larger projects as Program Manager, Project Manager, Task Manager, or Segment Manager.
• Assist local offices pursuing or delivering BRT projects nationally with technical expertise, including travel.
• Demonstrate expertise through conference presentations and paper publications.
• Assist in growing the business by writing marketing proposals and providing business development support.
• Manage technical staff and ensure compliance with safety policies.
