Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical or Electronic) or related field or equivalent work experience.
• 5+ years of experience in broadcast station operations or engineering.
• Broadcast Engineering Certification, FCC license, or SBE certification is a plus.
• Valid driver’s license, good driving record, and ability to provide proof of insurance with company-required limits.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain all broadcast equipment/systems for daily on-air operation; use RF knowledge to maintain and repair studio, transmitter facilities, satellite links, and microwave systems.
• Maintain ancillary systems supporting on-air operations (HVAC, networking, electrical, mechanical).
• Ensure compliance with FCC rules to protect the license.
• Resolve technical issues with third parties and escalate when needed.
• Troubleshoot and escalate to Engineering Support as required.
• Lead engineering projects and report status to Regional Director, Station Operations.
• Maintain 24/7 on-call availability for continuous operation.
• Perform administrative duties related to business/operational transactions as needed.
• Mentor Station Engineers/Technicians and oversee training programs.
