Job summary

Barclays Center in Brooklyn seeks a Broadcast Engineer to support live events and control room operations on-site. You will report to the Senior Broadcast Engineer and collaborate with engineering, production, IT, vendors, and event crews to maintain reliable systems.

The role requires troubleshooting complex IP-based broadcast setups, maintaining documentation, and coordinating with non-union crews during rehearsals and events. This is a full-time on-site position at Barclays Center.

Qualifications

• At least two years of broadcast engineering or comparable live production systems experience.
• Resourceful technical professional who exercises sound judgment under live event pressure.
• Collaborative communicator who works effectively with internal partners, visiting production teams, vendors, multiple trades, and union and non-union crews.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and resolve complex IP-based broadcast issues (ST 2110, PTP, multicast, routing) using monitors, logs and test gear.
• Configure and support control room equipment (Grass Valley Kayenne/K-Frame, Evertz EXE/MAGNUM, DreamCatcher) and ensure proper routing, replay, tally and intercom workflows.
• Perform maintenance tasks including software/firmware updates, configurations, server/storage work, and routine system checks.
• Assist with equipment installations and system integrations across Barclays Center.
• Troubleshoot ingest, transcoding, playback, graphics delivery; verify formats and LED/IPTV signal integrity with LED/IPTV teams.
• Maintain engineering drawings, signal-flow diagrams, configurations, inventories and incident logs.
