Job summary

Barclays Center is seeking a Senior Broadcast Engineer for the Facilities Presentation team. This on-site role leads complex troubleshooting and system improvements for live events, reporting to the Director of Broadcast Engineering.

You will guide engineers, coordinate with vendors, and ensure event readiness. The ideal candidate brings five+ years in broadcast engineering and a proven ability to manage live operations under pressure.

Qualifications

Five+ years in broadcast engineering or live production systems.
Ability to troubleshoot under live event pressure and escalate risks appropriately.
Collaborative communicator with internal partners, vendors, and crews.

Responsibilities

Diagnose and resolve complex broadcast issues (ST 2110, PTP, multicast, routing, audio/video).
Configure and support control room equipment and workflows; validate routing and tally.
Develop maintenance tasks and perform approved software, firmware, and configuration work.
Assist with installations, coordinate with vendors, and perform commissioning and acceptance tests.
Troubleshoot ingest, transcoding, playback, and graphics delivery; coordinate with LED/IPTV staff and timing systems.
Manage NBA HSAN infrastructure and related systems.
Maintain engineering drawings, signal-flow diagrams, and incident logs; refine procedures.
Review requirements with production staff, lead rehearsals, and confirm contingency paths.
Train engineers and technicians, provide guidance, and document troubleshooting steps.
