Job summary

WSP is seeking a senior structural/civil engineer to lead engineering efforts across multi-site projects in the public and private sectors. You will perform data collection, site inspections, and develop construction plans with cost estimates, coordinating with owners, sub-consultants, and clients.

You will apply advanced modeling methods, ensure safety and regulatory compliance, and mentor junior engineers while delivering quality documentation and analyses for project success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in structural or civil engineering or closely related discipline.
• Engineer in Training certification is preferred.
• Master’s degree in engineering is an advantage.
• Essential licensure/certification as required for professional practice.

Responsibilities

• Determine methods for collecting and analyzing data from site, surveys, blueprints, GIS data, and more.
• Perform professional structural engineering work and inspect proposed and existing site conditions for compliance.
• Develop construction plans, specifications, and cost estimates; coordinate with owners, disciplines, sub-consultants, and clients.
• Incorporate advanced modeling and design requirements to ensure safety and functionality for end users.
• Collaborate within cross-functional teams to execute multiple projects and guide installations and material selection.
• Prepare technical reports and data visualizations to present findings and recommendations.
• Maintain QA/QC and regulatory compliance throughout project lifecycle.
• Provide guidance and training to junior engineers and assist in project scoping.
• Travel may be required for certain projects and field work.
