Job summary

Horner & Shifrin, Inc. is seeking a full-time Bridge Project Engineer in our Structural Business Unit in Rogers, AR. The role requires 5+ years of experience and involves performing structural calculations for bridges, preparing drawings, and developing cost estimates.

Requirements include a P.E. license and AR structural license (preferred), proficiency in MicroStation, and experience with ARDOT or Arkansas Tollway bridge projects. A BS in Civil Engineering is required; MS is preferred.

Qualifications

• Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.)
• Licensed Structural Engineer in Arkansas (preferred)
• Experience with ARDOT or Arkansas Tollway bridge projects (firm requirement)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Must possess a valid driver’s license

Responsibilities

• Follow Bridge Practice production and design standards and procedures as delegated by the Project Manager.
• Perform and check structural engineering calculations of bridges, retaining walls, and other transportation infrastructure structures using company, client, and industry standards.
• Participate in the preparation and checking of structural construction drawings created by teammates to meet firm and client requirements.
• Develop and check cost estimates.
• Participate in the preparation of reports and studies.
