Job summary

Horner & Shifrin, Inc. seeks a full-time Bridge Project Engineer in our Structural Business Unit with 5+ years of experience. Office locations include O’Fallon, IL and surrounding areas. The role requires experience with bridge design and inspections, strong communication, and proficiency in MicroStation.

Qualifications

• Licensed PE and IL-licensed structural engineer preferred.
• Experience with IDOT or Illinois Tollway bridge projects is required.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Must possess a valid driver's license and pass background checks.

Responsibilities

• Follow Bridge Practice production and design standards as delegated by Project Manager.
• Perform and check structural calculations for bridges and related structures.
• Prepare and check structural drawings with teammates to meet requirements.
• Develop and check cost estimates.
• Assist in preparation of reports and studies.

Licensed Professional Engineer
