Job summary
Arcadis is seeking a Bridge/Structural Engineer to support transportation infrastructure projects in Tennessee. You will design bridges, lead teams, and prepare calculations and contract documents from concept through construction.
The role requires 7+ years of bridge experience, a Tennessee PE or ability to obtain it within 6–12 months, and strong knowledge of AASHTO LRFD and Bentley/MicroStation tools. Collaboration across disciplines is essential.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in civil or structural engineering (ABET-accredited).
- 7+ years of bridge engineering experience.
- PE license in Tennessee or ability to obtain within 6–12 months.
- Strong knowledge of structural analysis and design.
- Experience with AASHTO LRFD specifications.
Responsibilities
- Design bridges and transportation structures (new, rehab, repair).
- Lead, assign, and review work; provide technical guidance.
- Develop calculations, plans, specs, and contract documents.
- Evaluate design alternatives; apply sound engineering judgment.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and clients.
- Prepare technical reports and design deliverables.
- Perform advanced structural analysis under senior review.
- Mentor junior engineers on projects.
