Qualifications

• Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
• Ability to read and interpret bridge and structure plans and specifications.
• Knowledge of budgets, cost estimates, and inventory management.
• Experience managing supervisory and crew personnel.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Prepare cost estimates for projects and develop budgets; monitor spending and report on costs.
• Maintain safety of state roadways by managing temporary bridges and removal of damaged structures; support emergency operations.
• Manage the bridge crew safety program and enforce safety guidelines; maintain a safe work environment.
• Review inspection reports; prioritize needs and determine resources for maintenance, repair or replacement; plan and schedule work.
