Job summary

COWI is seeking a Leading Bridge Engineer in New York to drive design leadership and project management for major infrastructure projects across North America. You will lead multidisciplinary teams, coordinate with clients and partners, and ensure high-quality calculations, drawings, and reports.

The role requires a Master’s in Civil/Structural Engineering, 10–20 years of bridge design and PM experience, and NY PE eligibility (or ability to obtain).

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• 10–20 years of bridge design and project management experience or equivalent.
• Registered as a Professional Civil Engineer in New York or eligibility to obtain.
• Experience with 3D structural modeling using CSI Bridge, Sofistik, ADINA.
• Site visits during construction and preparation of observation reports.
• Experience with proposals and leading business development.
• New York agency experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead project teams in structural analysis, design, evaluation, and preparation of calculations and drawings; supervise and review other engineers.
• Prepare engineering reports and standard documents including specifications, work plans, and budgets.
• Research and review design options for technical and financial impact.
• Liaise with clients, professionals, and third parties as needed.
• Assist with proposals and participate in business development activities.
