Job summary

Metro Associates seeks a Transportation Bridge Project Manager to lead bridge design and rehabilitation projects in New York. You’ll oversee design, delivery, and client engagement from concept through construction support.

The role requires 7+ years in bridge design engineering and project management, with PE preferred or obtainable. Strong collaboration, leadership, and quality control are essential.

Qualifications

• 7+ years progressive transportation bridge design engineering and project management experience
• Professional Engineering License (PE) preferred or ability to obtain it
• Familiarity with NYSDOT design standards preferred
• Deliver high-quality work with strong organization and decision-making

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, design, and delivery of bridge transportation projects.
• Manage project budgets, scope, schedule, and staffing to ensure timely delivery.
• Lead design strategy with teams and clients for alignment and seamless delivery.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, permits, and quality standards.
• Identify project risks and implement proactive mitigation strategies.
• Serve as primary point of contact for clients, agencies, and stakeholders.
• Cultivate and strengthen client relationships to support repeat business.
• Oversee project billing, client updates, QA/QC of deliverables, and project closeout.
• Support proposal development, scope definition, and fee estimates.
• Mentor and support development of junior staff
