COWI is seeking a Civil Engineer in New York to join a team delivering major North American projects. The role offers a hybrid work setup and a path to professional licensure, with a focus on collaborative problem solving and high-quality design work.

You will work with experienced engineers on diverse projects, conduct site visits, prepare calculations and drawings, and contribute to technical reports and specifications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or higher, master’s degree preferred, with 2–3 years of related experience in Civil Design.
• Be eligible to register as a Professional Engineer in NY, or obtain licensure while at COWI.
• Willing to learn and engage with professional associations and colleagues.

Responsabilités

• Be a leading contributor to a team of engineers and technicians.
• Solve engineering problems and challenges.
• Perform designs, evaluations, preparation of calculations and drawings, and cost estimates.
• Conduct site inspections and investigations from time-to-time.
• Prepare standard documents, such as technical specifications, per applicable design codes.
• Research and review design options for both technical and financial impact.
• Prepare engineering reports and other technical documents.
