Job summary

Kimley-Horn’s Palm Beach Gardens, FL office is seeking a Civil Engineer with 8+ years of experience to join the Bridge Structures team. This is not a remote position and requires strong leadership in structural design.

The role focuses on technical bridge analysis and design, producing drawings, specs, and QC packages, while mentoring Engineers-In-Training and collaborating with clients and the project team.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of relevant engineering design experience.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain within 12 months.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, and SketchUp for drawings.
• Strong communication, leadership, and client-focused project delivery.

Responsibilities

• Serve in a technical role on bridge design projects.
• Perform structural analysis, design, and planning on bridges and other transportation structures.
• Develop full sets of structural drawings and specifications.
• Lead and mentor Engineers-In-Training in structural engineering.
• Contribute to project submittals and QC processes.
• Support construction phase efforts on building projects in structural engineering.
• Engage with clients, contractors, and team members in meetings.
