Job summary

Kimley-Horn's Jacksonville, Florida office seeks a Civil Engineer with 4+ years of bridge design experience to join our Bridge Structures team. This is not a remote position and you will lead technical work on bridge projects, perform analyses, and develop drawings and specifications with minimal guidance.

You will mentor Engineers-In-Training, manage design calculations and plan production, support client meetings, and contribute to opportunities through networking.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of engineering design experience.
• PE license or eligibility to obtain within 12 months.
• Experience with Bentley OpenBridge Modeler and MicroStation.
• Proficient in structural analysis software (MathCAD Prime, LARSA, STAAD.Pro).
• Strong communication, leadership, and team collaboration.
• Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a technical lead on bridge design projects.
• Perform structural analysis, design, and planning for bridges.
• Develop full structural drawings and specifications with minimal guidance.
• Lead construction-phase efforts on structural building projects.
• Mentor Engineers-In-Training in structural engineering.
• Engage with clients, contractors, and design teams in meetings.
