Job summary
Kimley-Horn in Orlando, FL is seeking a Civil Engineer with 4+ years of bridge and structural design experience to join the Bridge Structures team. The role focuses on technical bridge design, analysis, and coordination on transportation projects, with mentorship for EITs and client interaction.
Experienced candidates will perform drawings, develop specifications, and support construction-phase activities while maintaining quality control and meeting deadlines in a collaborative office
Qualifications
- 4+ years of relevant engineering design experience.
- P.E. license or ability to obtain within 12 months.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, and SketchUp for drawings.
- Experience with structural analysis software (STAAD, RAM, ETABS).
- Strong communication and leadership skills; team-oriented.
Responsibilities
- Serve in a technical role on bridge design projects.
- Perform structural analysis, design, and planning on bridges and other transportation structures.
- Develop full sets of structural drawings and specifications with minimal guidance.
- Lead construction-phase efforts in structural engineering for buildings.
- Mentor Engineers-In-Training and participate in client meetings.
