Job summary

WSP Global Inc. is seeking a Senior Structural/Bridge Engineer for our Detroit, MI office to grow technical knowledge in structural engineering and develop project management experience on bridge projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Structural or Civil Engineering.
• P.E. registration in Michigan and ability to acquire in other states.
• 5 to 10 years of relevant post-education experience in Structural Engineering with emphasis on bridges.
• Strong technical skills and background in bridge design.
• Able to lead design teams and work in a team environment.
• Proficiency in technical writing and design software (e.g., MicroStation, ANSYS, STADD, HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS).
• 40-Hour OSHA Health & Safety Training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, plan development, and perform structural analysis with focus on Michigan highway structures.
• Maintain project scope, design changes, and budget/schedule; coordinate with project teams.
• Mentor and develop staff performing similar work.
• Coordinate with project team and perform QC/QA reviews.
• Contribute to technical proposals and represent WSP at professional meetings.
