Job summary

Arup in Houston seeks a Senior Structural Engineer to lead and craft critical transportation, energy, coastal and marine infrastructure. You will design structural elements, develop calculations, and manage project tasks within a multidisciplinary team.

The role requires a Master’s in Structural or Seismic Engineering, 6+ years of heavy infrastructure experience, and strong communication skills. SE/PE credentials are valued. We support flexible working and a collaborative culture.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or higher in Structural or Seismic Engineering.
• 6+ years of experience in heavy infrastructure concrete and steel design and engineering.
• SE Registration is a plus; PE designation is desired.
• Strong communication, planning and organization in fast-paced environments.
• Motivated, proactive and open to new challenges.

Responsibilities

• Design structural elements for transportation, energy, coastal and marine projects.
• Prepare and review drawings detailing the systems developed.
• Perform system design calculations and develop analysis models and calculations.
• Prepare test reports and technical documentation.
• Lead design work on defined tasks under supervision of a project director.
• Project management of single or multi-discipline projects and client interfaces.
