Job summary

W3Global is seeking a Bridge Engineer / Inspector to perform NBIS inspections, evaluate structural conditions, and prepare detailed reports documenting findings and recommendations.

The role requires experience in bridge engineering, field inspections, and NBIS procedures, with a PE license preferred and a valid driver’s license. Candidates must be able to work outdoors and at heights while maintaining thorough records.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution.
• 4+ years of bridge engineering, design, and/or inspection experience.
• Completion of FHWA Introduction to Element Level Bridge Inspection Training.
• Completion of FHWA Fracture Critical Inspection Techniques for Steel Bridges.
• Bridge Inspection Team Leader Certification (required).
• Professional Engineer (P.E.) license is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform NBIS bridge inspections, including routine and element-level inspections.
• Assist teams with field inspections, structural evaluations, and documenting bridge conditions.
• Prepare detailed inspection reports highlighting deficiencies and maintenance recommendations.
• Inspect various bridge types, including at heights and challenging environments.
• Review components and assess condition per established inspection procedures.
• Collaborate with engineers, technicians, and project teams to ensure timely completion.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation of inspections and activities.
• Support transportation infrastructure and structural engineering projects as needed.
