Position Overview

We are seeking a Senior Bridge Engineer to join our Infrastructure - Transportation/Bridge Team at our Columbus, OH office. Our bridge team is recognized as an industry leader, developing innovative solutions that reduce costs and maintenance, utilizing accelerated bridge construction (ABC) techniques to minimize road closure impacts.

Responsibilities

1. Provide advanced analysis and judgment for design development, implementation, and technical analysis of bridge systems.
2. Plan, schedule, and coordinate detailed project phases independently with other disciplines and project management staff.
3. Mentor junior staff and review their technical work.
4. Recommend design improvements and ensure accuracy in reports and calculations.
5. Develop and gather technical resources to complete assignments.
6. Monitor project progress and performance against work plans.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• Minimum 4 years of discipline-specific engineering experience.
• Task management experience.
• Experience with AASHTOWare BrR load rating, steel and prestressed concrete bridge design.
• Proficiency with engineering software (Revit, AutoCAD, MicroStation).
• Effective communication skills and proficiency with MS Office.
• Desire and ability to mentor junior staff.

Additional Preferred Qualifications

• 8 years of progressive technical experience.
• Experience with ODOT projects.
• Active participation in professional engineering societies.
