Consor, based in Dallas, TX, seeks a Bridge Design Lead to oversee planning, analysis, and delivery of complex bridge projects. You will guide design teams, ensure code compliance, and drive innovative, constructible solutions for TxDOT and public clients.

The role emphasizes leadership, QA/QC, mentoring, and business development, with hybrid office/field work requiring strong communication and PE licensure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor in Civil/Structural engineering required; Master’s degree preferred.
• 10+ years in structural/bridge design with TxDOT experience preferred.
• Active PE license; ability to licensure in other states.
• Experience leading design teams and delivering projects on schedule & budget.
• Proficiency in MicroStation ORD, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, LEAP/CSI or similar tools.

Responsabilités

• Lead preparation and review of bridge designs, specs, and reports for accuracy and compliance.
• Apply engineering principles to develop safe, resilient, and cost-effective designs.
• Coordinate with clients, contractors, agencies to align objectives and schedules.
• Perform structural analyses, load ratings, rehab assessments, and quantity takeoffs.
• Direct QA/QC efforts, design reviews, and responses to comments.
• Mentor junior engineers, promote consistent engineering practices.
• Lead as technical lead on bridge projects, managing scope and budget.
• Develop alternatives for new construction and rehabilitation projects; support proposals.
• Stay current with new technologies and methods to drive innovation.
