Job summary

Texas Department of Transportation is seeking a Transportation Engineer III/IV in Fort Worth to design and manage complex bridge projects, provide field support, and lead teams. The role advances repair, rehabilitation and preservation strategies to extend bridge service life and enhance safety.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in engineering or related science.
• 6 years engineering, transportation engineering, or related engineering experience.
• Professional Engineer license (PE) or ability to obtain within six months.

Responsibilities

• Designs highly complex bridge projects and performs specialized design.
• Leads/Trains professional and administrative staff.
• Reviews shop drawings, plans, specifications, estimates, supplemental agreements and change orders.
• Performs advanced transportation engineering work in planning, project development and design.
