Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Major Crossings Design-Build Principal to lead pursuit, planning, and execution of major bridge and transportation projects. The role focuses on Design-Build leadership, multidisciplinary team guidance, and strong client relationships to expand Jacobs' presence in transportation infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Professional Engineer (P.E.) registration is required.
• 15+ years of experience in managing complex highway and bridge projects.
• Proven Design-Build or alternative delivery leadership on large transportation projects.
• Experience implementing QA/QC programs.
• Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Willingness to travel or co-locate with project teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead as Design Manager for large, complex Design-Build and alternative delivery projects.
• Represent the company at client meetings and industry events while promoting DB capabilities.
• Mentor bridge and highway Design Managers and promote best practices.
• Oversee pursuit-phase activities, including proposals and ATC development.
• Build and maintain relationships with contractors, agencies, and owners.
• Direct multidisciplinary teams across multiple offices and locations.
