Yahoo Holdings Inc. is seeking a Brand Sales Strategist for Yahoo News Group.

You will define and market strategic advertising solutions across Entertainment, Lifestyle, and News verticals, blending storytelling with data-driven insights to drive opportunity for premium partners. This senior role collaborates with Ad Product, Sales, Editorial, and Data Insights to craft sponsorships, leverage AI-augmented workflows, and present compelling narratives that translate platform data into business

Qualifications

5–7 years of brand strategy, ad solutions, or content marketing experience within a major digital media publisher, agency, or technology platform.
Demonstrated track record of conceptualizing and packaging multi-channel digital ad programs (custom content, video, high-impact display, and sponsorship integrations).
Hands-on experience with digital audience analytics platforms (e.g., Comscore) and synthesizing 1st-party audience data into actionable client narratives.
Proven ability to independently manage complex strategic proposals from brief to pitch delivery, securing internal buy-in and presenting effectively to senior executives.
Demonstrated experience using modern generative AI tools (e.g., Gemini, ChatGPT, or internal LLMs) to streamline research synthesis, creative ideation, or strategic writing.
Strong cross-functional leadership skills with a proven history of collaborating with editorial, sales, and product partners.

Responsibilities

Build and implement go-to-market strategies spanning editorial sponsorships, high-impact media solutions, branded content, and emerging formats across channels.
Represent the News Group in responses to RFPs, RFIs, and proactive requests with clear, concise pitch materials.
Serve as the connective tissue across Yahoo's News Group verticals and internal teams to execute integrated programs.
Collaborate with Editorial teams to develop new ad solutions balancing creative integrity with business priorities.
Identify market trends and emerging technologies to inform Editorial and Product partnerships.
Partner with Sales to provide exceptional client service from initial pitch through campaign execution and renewal.
Combine creative storytelling with analytical rigor to align ideas with KPIs and measurable outcomes.
Understand audience and engagement data to make insight-backed recommendations for clients.
Utilize AI tools to enhance output, streamline workflows, and boost productivity.
