Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a data analytics professional to analyze refinery and product network data, guiding decisions with insights and validated data. You will manage data collection and validation to support VCO models and help prepare leadership presentations.

The role includes developing analytics tools and KPI dashboards, collaborating with regional teams, and driving process improvements and automation to optimize data workflows.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related discipline.
• Six years of experience in Accounting, Finance, Commercial, or related field.
• General understanding of operations systems such as MIPS, MPR, RightAngle and Planning Database is preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel required; Power BI experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed analysis of refinery and clean products network data, identifying trends and discrepancies in performance and pricing to inform business decisions.
• Lead the collection, validation, and management of data to ensure accuracy, consistency, and reliability for VCO models.
• Assist in developing presentations for key leadership meetings, collaborating with business unit contacts.
• Develop reports or tools to support analytics and monitor KPIs, providing insights into performance vs expectations to Value Chain leadership.
• Collaborate with the RVCO team to understand analytical and reporting needs for continuous improvement.
• Support Regional Optimization projects by assisting with business requirements and testing solutions.
• Identify and drive process improvements, automation, and AI integrations to enhance data systems and workflows.
• Perform ad hoc analyses and communicate findings clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
