Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an experienced data engineering and analytics professional to own data pipelines, data models, and executive-facing reporting. You will design scalable ETL/ELT pipelines, maintain data warehouses, and deliver self-service analytics dashboards for leadership decisions.

The role requires 8+ years in data/analytics roles, advanced SQL skills, Python, and cloud data platform experience. Strong collaboration across teams and a focus on data governance and SOX-ready reporting are

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree minimum
• 8+ years in data engineering, analytics engineering, BI, or operational analytics
• Experience owning data pipelines, data models, and executive-facing reporting
• Advanced SQL proficiency with complex joins, window functions and performance tuning
• Experience with Python or another scripting language
• Experience with cloud data warehouses or Lakehouse environments
• Experience with analytics engineering, dimensional modeling, semantic layers, and self-service analytics
• Experience with Git-based workflows, code review, documentation, and repeatable deployment practices
• Experience supporting SOX, financial, compliance, or audit-sensitive reporting
• Power BI, Tableau, Grafana, or equivalent experience
• dbt or similar analytics engineering frameworks
• Airflow, Dagster, Prefect, or Azure Data Factory
• Data quality testing, validation, lineage, and auditability
• Cross-functional collaboration and communication

Responsibilities

• Own platform usage reporting and executive-facing dashboards
• Design, develop and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines
• Transform raw data into analytics-ready tables and semantic layers
• Maintain data warehouses and reporting layers
• Deliver self-service analytics dashboards and datasets
• Communicate insights through narratives and visuals for leadership
• Define and influence technical standards for data systems
