Job summary

Jobtailor in Houston, TX seeks a senior data/BI analyst to drive data products and predictive insights. You will combine data from data lake, Oracle, ERP, and WMS with Excel-based tools to create descriptive models and BI dashboards for decision-making.

You will collaborate with stakeholders across processes and locations, defining measurement solutions and driving performance through analytics. A strong background in SQL, Python/R, Power BI, and Power Query is required, with PM/Lean Six Sigma

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent related work or military experience.
• 5+ years of experience in business process analysis and process improvement.
• 5+ years building financial/operational models, reports, datasets and tools.
• Advanced analytical skills with SQL, Python/R, Excel, Power BI, Power Query.
• Ability to work autonomously and in a matrix organization.
• PM and Lean Six Sigma belt certification is a plus.
• Experience with automation tools like Airflow, Power Automate or RPA.
• Familiarity with Snowflake or GCP platforms.
• 3+ years of cross-functional project experience.
• MBA or related master's degree is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Leverage data from sources (data lake, Oracle, ERP, WMS, Excel) to build advanced data products and predictive models.
• Create descriptive and predictive models and visualize on BI platforms.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across processes, facilities, locations, units, and levels to define measurement solutions.
• Collaborate with account management, operations support, IT for alignment and preventing discrepancies.
• Serve as subject matter expert on the function product and boost operational performance.
• Identify and analyze user requirements to improve processes.
• Support initiatives via data analysis, barriers identification, and user acceptance testing.
• Participate in building and maintaining BI dashboards and education of end users.
