Job summary

Our client, Lagoon Beach, Milnerton, South Africa, is seeking a Senior Bookkeeper to join their finance team. The role covers full bookkeeping for SA and UK clients, including management accounts, VAT, payroll and supervision of junior staff.

The ideal candidate has 5–7 years of experience, a accounting qualification, and advanced Xero skills. On-site/hybrid arrangement. Salary in the range R20,000–R25,000 per month depending on experience.

Qualifications

• National Diploma or Degree in Accounting or Financial Accounting.
• 5 to 7 years bookkeeping experience.
• Experience in an accounting practice is essential.
• Advanced proficiency in Xero accounting software is essential.
• Must reside in Milnerton or the immediate surrounding area.

Responsibilities

• Manage an assigned SA and UK client portfolio and be the primary bookkeeping contact.
• Oversee the full bookkeeping cycle, including bank reconciliations, journals and reconciliations.
• Prepare monthly management accounts, VAT returns and payroll administration.
• Supervise and mentor junior bookkeepers and ensure compliance and accuracy.
