Job summary

Yakama Nation’s Head Start program in Wapato, WA is seeking a Bookkeeper V to manage accounting for Tribal, State, and Federal funding. The role balances accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and purchasing with close supervision to ensure timely, accurate financial reporting.

The employee will use D365 and iSolved, prepare budget modifications, and maintain ledgers and journals for multiple funding sources, coordinating across departments to support program goals.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Tribal and Funding agency requirements.
• Experience with bookkeeping principles and terminology.
• Experience with iSolved and D365 software.
• Familiarity with Federal Regulations 2 CFR 200 and Head Start standards.
• Ability to plan, organize, and work independently.
• Ability to prepare budget modifications.
• Strong communication skills.
