Job summary

One Book at a Time Publishing, the book-production division of The Print Site in Addison, Texas, is seeking an experienced Book Designer / Production Artist to work on high-quality hardcover and softcover projects. The role focuses on interior layout, styles, and print-ready files for commercial printing.

Candidates with hands-on experience in designing, typesetting, or preparing books for printing are preferred, including those handling family histories, memoirs, and other customized

Qualifications

• Experience designing, typesetting or preparing books for commercial printing.
• Familiarity with book interiors, covers, and long-document production.
• Ability to create consistent styles and production-ready PDFs.

Responsibilities

• Layout and typesetting for hardcover and softcover books in InDesign.
• Create and maintain paragraph/character styles and master pages.
• Prepare print-ready PDFs and manage bleeds/spines.
