Job summary

Hargrove & Associates Inc. is seeking a Boiler Systems Subject Matter Specialist in Mobile, AL.

You will act as the technical authority for industrial steam and power-generation systems, guiding design, sizing, and integration for new builds and upgrades across mill utilities and CHP sites. The role demands extensive boiler/turbine project experience, proficiency with cycle modeling tools, and the ability to lead core calculations, PFDs/P&IDs, and commissioning plans.

Qualifications

• 20+ years in industrial boiler/HRSG/turbine project engineering for mill utilities, power islands, or CHP.
• Experience with codes and standards: ASME BPVC, API 611/612, API 616, TEMA, NFPA 85.
• Ability to stamp/lead core calculations and deliverables: heat & mass balances, cycle analysis.

Responsibilities

• Extensive boiler and turbine projects experience from FEL/FEED through detail design and startup support across cogeneration, new installs, retrofits, and debottlenecking.
• Create and review PFDs/P&IDs, equipment datasheets, control narratives, and commissioning plans; evaluate vendor bids.
