Job summary

Hargrove seeks a Fire Protection Subject Matter Specialist in Mobile, AL to lead complex mechanical design tasks and provide field support. You will perform stress analyses, prepare construction specs, and coordinate with vendors and drafting teams to deliver robust solutions.

Ideal candidates hold a Mechanical Engineering degree and 10+ years of industrial experience; PE is highly preferred. On-site work with a focus on safety, quality, and cost efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university.
• Professional Engineering registration is highly preferred.
• 10+ years of relevant industrial/mechanical engineering experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform complete design of complex mechanical engineering assignments under supervision.
• Conduct stress analysis, piping calculations, and material specifications.
• Develop conceptual layouts and cost studies to determine efficient approaches.
• Prepare preliminary designs and material take-offs for estimates.
• Review vendor drawings and coordinate with draft/design teams.
• Provide field data collection and construction support at sites.
