Job summary

Cordia is seeking a Boiler Operator to ensure safe, reliable operation of plant equipment in a 12-hour rotating shift. You will monitor boilers, chillers, and distribution systems, record data, and support maintenance while following safety policies.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work in demanding environments. Overtime and a strong safety mindset are essential for this role at Cordia.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Ability to work in hot/cold environments and lift up to 75 pounds.
• Valid driver’s license is required.
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to learn complex systems quickly.
• Familiarity with PC operations and digital controls is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and control operation of boilers, chillers, generators, and cooling towers.
• Operate plant machinery safely; start, run, adjust, and stop equipment.
• Follow SOPs, JSAs, and LOTO requirements; contribute to safety practices.
• Record operating parameters and monitor customer consumption via SCADA.
• Perform water tests and monitor water chemistry; assist with maintenance.
• Maintain control room appearance and participate in safety committees.
• Prepare for overtime when required and support continuous improvement.
