Job summary

Mid-State Industrial Maintenance in Lakeland, FL seeks an experienced Superintendent to oversee all onsite construction activities related to industrial boiler projects, including safety, scheduling, and coordination with subs.

The role supports the Project Manager, ensures adherence to drawings and codes, manages field teams, and drives turnover with proper documentation; extensive travel may be required, and a BS in engineering or construction management is preferred.

Qualifications

• 5–15 years of construction experience, preferably in power generation, industrial maintenance & construction.
• Experience managing projects from start to finish.
• Ability to read boiler drawings, P&IDs, welding procedures, and repair documentation.
• Familiar with ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code NBIC requirements and customer specs.
• Strong focus on safety, regulatory compliance, and quality control.

Responsibilities

• Oversee boiler maintenance, outages, and turnover activities from mobilization to commissioning.
• Coordinate qualified welders, pipefitters, boilermakers, millwrights, and subcontractors.
• Review drawings, specifications, and repair plans to ensure field work complies with requirements.
• Ensure LOTO, confined-space entry, hot-work and other safety protocols are followed.
• Maintain accurate field documentation and turnover packages.
