Job summary

Shyft6 is seeking an experienced Technical Supervisor - Blood to lead technical operations in a high- and moderate-complexity blood testing laboratory. You will supervise testing, ensure quality and regulatory compliance, and guide staff through validations, CAPA, and issue resolution.

Ideal candidates have MLS certification with ASCP or AMT, 2+ years of supervisory experience, and a strong background in QA/QC within CLIA/CAP environments.

Qualifications

• MLS certification through ASCP or AMT
• 2 years of laboratory supervisory experience
• Master's degree with 4+ years of clinical laboratory experience, or Bachelor's with 6 years of clinical lab experience
• 4–6 years of high-/moderate-complexity blood testing experience
• Strong QA/QC knowledge and regulatory awareness (CLIA, CAP, state requirements)

Responsibilities

• Provide technical supervision for high- and moderate-complexity blood testing
• Ensure procedures meet policies and regulatory requirements
• Offer technical guidance, training, and support to lab personnel
• Monitor workflows, performance, and quality metrics for improvement
• Oversee method validations, verifications, and instrument verification prior to implementation
• Review QC data and investigate out-of-range results
• Support QA program, CAPA, and issue resolution
• Troubleshoot instrumentation, procedures, and reagents
• Assist with validation of new instruments, assays, and processes
• Maintain compliance with CLIA, CAP, and state regulations
• Support regulatory inspections, audits, and proficiency testing
• Maintain and review lab procedures and validation docs
• Collaborate with leadership to ensure efficient operations
• Ensure competency and ongoing training for staff
• Serve as technical resource for complex testing issues
