Job summary

A leading laboratory services provider in Phoenix is seeking a Lab Supervisor responsible for overseeing the work of technologists and lab assistants. The role involves ensuring compliance with quality standards and successful testing within established timeframes. The ideal candidate must have a B.S./B.A. degree and 1-3 years of relevant experience, plus fulfill State & Local licensing requirements. This position requires effective supervision in a high-volume laboratory setting.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Oversee and review the work of 16 technologists and lab assistants.
• Ensure timely completion of testing according to LabCorp standards.
• Maintain accurate equipment and instrument records.

Job description

Assigns, oversees, and reviews the work of up to 16 technologist and lab assistants. Directs all phases of work, quality, service, and costs; and performs testing as required. Previous experience with Sysmex inst. CBC and Coag, Atlas inst. UA, Iris inst. UA/micro, Provue inst. for blood bank, Biorad inst. for ANA. Ensures testing is completed within timeframes established by LabCorp, that all CAP and training documentation is recorded properly, and that equipment and instrument records are accurate and up to date. Sets the example for department employees, ensures policies/procedures are followed, and completes reviews and disciplinary actions. Be able to effectively Supervise in a high volume laboratory.

Normally requires a B.S./B.A. Degree w/1-3 years of experience. Must meet all State & Local licensing requirements where the laboratory is located and must meet CLIA requirements.
