Atrium Health is seeking a Specialist Technologist to oversee blood, urine, bone marrow, and body fluid testing in a high-complexity lab setting. The role includes supervising staff, evaluating results, and contributing to QA and regulatory activities.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology or related science and at least eight years of laboratory leadership experience, with ASCP or equivalent certification preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology or a chemical, physical or biological science from an accredited university and meets other technologist qualifications.

Responsabilités

• Ensure accurate and timely performance of laboratory testing in accordance with manuals and turnaround times.
• Follow QC procedures and document results prior to reporting in the LIS.
• Supervise professional and technical staff; assist in training students and residents.
• Maintain safety and compliance with GMP, CAP, AABB, FACT standards.
