Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology or related science from an accredited university.
• Minimum of eight (8) years of relevant laboratory tech and/or leadership experience.
• Technologist/Scientist/ Specialist Certification from ASCP or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Adheres to general hospital standards and policies; maintains professional communication and ethics.
• Ensures accurate and timely performance of laboratory testing and proper specimen labeling.
• Ensures quality of laboratory testing by following QC procedures and documenting results.
• Follows safety procedures and proper identification to prevent errors in testing.
• Maintains and improves QA activities and participates in training and education.
• Supervises staff, coordinates scheduling, and assists in inspections and compliance activities.
