Job summary

NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital is seeking an Advanced Laboratory Technical Specialist for the Transfusion Medicine Department. This full-time role focuses on leading technical functions, developing new assays, and guiding staff in Apheresis, Blood Bank and Cellular Therapy.

The position requires ASCP certification, a NYS CLT license, a bachelor’s in medical technology or related field, and at least six years of specialized testing experience. On-site work with potential weekend coverage.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Technology or related field required.
• New York State Clinical Laboratory Technologist License required.
• ASCP Certification required.
• Minimum of 6 years in specialized testing required.

Responsibilities

• Plan and develop new techniques, assays and methods while providing technical guidance.
• Organize and coordinate all technical functions and activities of the Lab in this leadership role.
• Oversee shifts and weekend coverage as inherent in a leadership position.
