Job summary

EY in the United States is seeking a Digital Asset Software Engineer to join the Digital Asset Research Center. You will research public blockchains, smart contracts and digital assets while collaborating with auditors and technology consultants to test and improve assurance services.

You will help design testing techniques for financial statements related to digital assets, document complex topics, and contribute to core product offerings while growing your technical expertise and leadership in

Qualifications

• Three to five years of related prior work experience in application development.
• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems Management or related field.
• Strong understanding of blockchain technology, smart contracts, and decentralized applications (dApps).
• Demonstrable knowledge of technologies: JavaScript/TypeScript (Node.js, Express, React, Angular); Ethereum/Solidity; testing frameworks; databases (NoSQL/SQL); Git; Docker/Podman; cloud providers (Azure/AWS/GCP).
• Previous development experience in Agile teams.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for technical writing and client presentations.

Responsibilities

• Full-stack software development including front-end and back-end.
• Create technical documentation and memos for complex digital asset topics.
• Collaborate with financial auditors to design and implement testing techniques for financial statement assertions related to digital assets.
• Solve novel technical problems and provide innovative solutions for client solutions and core product offerings.
• Stay up-to-date on emerging practices and identify applicable new methods.
• Work with client engagement teams from diverse backgrounds to foster an innovative, inclusive environment.
