Job summary

Austin Powder Company is seeking a Senior Blaster to manage location assets and personnel at the customer site, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory requirements while supporting the location's strategic plan.

You will supervise blasting operations, review patterns, coordinate with sales and location management, and maintain accuracy in reporting and paperwork to uphold quality service and safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 5+ years blasting experience required.
• Austin Powder Blasting Certification preferred or to be acquired.
• State Blaster’s License required.
• CDL Class A with Hazmat endorsements preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintains a safe and healthy work environment by complying with MSHA, OSHA, ATF, & DOT regulations within the work area.
• Reviews drill patterns and diagrams, determines product and shot layout necessary to meet customer needs.
• Prepares designated blasting area including verification of blast shelter, equipment, and area.
• Supervises personnel at the customer site/blast area.
• Develops and maintains positive relationships with the customer base to increase market share and growth.
