Job summary

DAT Freight & Analytics is seeking a Senior Associate to redefine BizOps, blending strategy, BI, and applied AI. You will surface high-value problems, develop KPIs, and build agentic workflows that scale analytics. Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver actionable insights and design AI-enabled solutions across the organization.

The role emphasizes dashboards, data modeling, and leadership-facing analyses, with a hybrid work model and strong compensation in the Seattle area.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years in high-growth startups, strategy consulting, business intelligence, data analytics or specialized BizOps roles.
• Strong SQL and Excel skills; you can independently access data and build the models behind your reporting.
• Demonstrated ability to translate ambiguous business questions into structured analyses and clear recommendations.
• Daily working fluency with AI tools; comfortable writing prompts, evaluating outputs, debugging agent behavior, and knowing when human judgment must override automation.
• Growth mindset and willingness to work hard; high-effort, high-reward role for building business leverage with AI.

Responsibilities

• Strategic Oversight: Support leadership in developing and executing business strategies and tracking progress.
• KPI development & ownership: Create and own KPIs used to measure business health.
• Strategic & ad-hoc analysis: Collaborate across departments to scope questions and deliver insights.
• BI development & reporting: Build dashboards, reports, and data models for accessible metrics.
• Agent design & deployment: Design, prototype, and deploy AI agents to augment workflows and automate reporting.
• Performance monitoring & iteration: Track agent/dashboard performance and refine outputs.
• Automation opportunity identification: Identify tasks suitable for agentic automation vs BI tooling.
• Data quality & integrity: Partner with Data Engineering to ensure trustworthy data foundations.
• Documentation & enablement: Describe agent capabilities and use cases for stakeholders.
