Commonwealth Science & Technology, Inc. in the Boston area is seeking a high-energy Senior Business Development Manager to grow new business in Science, IT, Engineering, and DOD sectors. This role emphasizes relationship-building, pipeline growth, and multi-channel outreach.

You will drive client development, manage a fast-paced workload on a small team, and leverage recruiting tools to convert opportunities into lasting partnerships.

Qualifications

• 3-5+ years of direct experience in agency staffing within Life Sciences, IT and/or Engineering.
• Experience with large pharma, medical device, IT or DOD preferred.
• Proven track record of client development, growth, and profitability.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills.
• Confident, outgoing, proactive personality.
• Strong sense of urgency and disciplined work ethic.
• Commitment to a long-term career in the staffing industry.
• Results-driven professional with a history of high performance and achievement.

Responsibilities

• Proven ability to drive business development through cold calling, email outreach, social selling, lead generation, networking, and relationship-building activities.
• Skilled at identifying, developing, and converting new client opportunities while maintaining a strong pipeline of prospective business.
• Comfortable leveraging multiple channels (phone, email, LinkedIn, industry events, referrals, and networking groups) to generate leads and expand market presence.
• Demonstrates a "Jack of All Trades" mindset, with the flexibility to balance sales, account management, client service, and recruiting responsibilities on a small team.
• Thrives in a fast-paced environment, with the ability to pivot quickly, manage competing priorities, and adapt to changing business demands.
