Job summary

Nova Biomedical is seeking an experienced Senior/Staff Scientist to lead the design, development, and optimization of novel biosensors for clinical and biopharmaceutical platforms.

The role blends electrochemistry, materials science, and algorithm development, providing hands-on technical leadership, mentorship to junior scientists, and cross-functional collaboration to deliver scalable sensor solutions.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry, Electrochemistry, Materials Science, Biomedical Engineering or related field.
• 3–5 years of relevant industrial experience for Senior Scientist III level.
• 5–7+ years for Staff Scientist level.
• Experience with electrochemical sensors and in vitro diagnostic devices.

Responsibilities

• Lead amperometric and/or potentiometric sensor development projects.
• Design and optimize novel biosensor architectures from feasibility to CSV/validation.
• Develop sensors for electrolytes, metabolites, or gases in clinical biofluids and biopharmaceutical samples.
• Mentor junior scientists and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
