Job summary

Sanofi in Framingham, MA is seeking a Senior Scientist - Process Modelling to develop, calibrate, and validate bioreactor dynamic models supporting recombinant protein production and product quality attributes. You will deploy models in manufacturing to support real-time monitoring and digital twins.

Candidates should hold a PhD or Master’s in a related field with hands-on experience in dynamic modelling, with Python/MATLAB/R; cross-time-zone collaboration is a plus.

Qualifications

• PhD in chemical/biochemical engineering or related field required or equivalent.
• Master’s degree accepted with substantial experience in modelling.
• Proficiency in Python, MATLAB, Julia, or R for data analysis and modelling.
• Experience developing dynamic models of bioreactor or cell culture processes.

Responsibilities

• Develop, calibrate, and validate bioreactor dynamic models to simulate, optimize, and control production and quality attributes.
• Transfer and deploy models in manufacturing environments for process monitoring, forecasting, and real-time optimization.
• Collaborate with cell-culture development, process development, analytics, automation, and data science teams across R&D and Manufacturing.
• Communicate model assumptions and limitations to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Maintain reproducible computational workflows with proper coding, documentation, version control, and data management.
