Job summary

Sanofi is seeking a Senior Scientist - Process Modelling in Framingham, MA to lead development, calibration, and deployment of bioreactor dynamic models for production and quality control. You will work in the CMC Data Science group on digital twins, real‑time monitoring, and process optimization across microbial and mammalian systems.

Based in Framingham on the Sanofi campus with shuttle access, you will collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams and publish findings where appropriate.

Qualifications

• PhD or Master’s in a relevant engineering or scientific discipline
• Experience developing dynamic models of bioreactor or cell culture processes
• Proficiency in at least one scientific computing language (Python, MATLAB, Julia, or R)
• Experience working with cross‑functional teams across time zones and locations

Responsibilities

• Develop, calibrate, and validate bioreactor dynamic models to simulate, optimize, and control production and quality attributes
• Transfer models to commercial manufacturing for monitoring, forecasting, and real‑time control
• Collaborate with cell-culture, process development, analytics, automation, and data science teams
• Communicate model assumptions, uncertainties, and interpretations to stakeholders
• Maintain reproducible computational workflows with proper coding, documentation, and data management
• Act as a change agent to embed process modeling in development workflows
• Document progress with technical presentations, reports, and scientific publications
