Job summary

Jefferson Health is seeking a Biomedical Equipment Technician to perform preventive maintenance, calibrations, and repairs on biomedical and clinical data/network systems at multiple Jefferson locations.

The role requires knowledge of modern electronic/test equipment, experience with work order systems, and the ability to work in a team while handling changing priorities. Travel between Jefferson sites may be involved.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Knowledge of modern electronic/test equipment and QA procedures.
• Ability to use service manuals and vendor docs to maintain equipment.
• Experience with computer-based work order systems desired.
• Ability to work in a team and handle multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Complete preventive maintenance for assigned equipment to maintain PM compliance.
• Maintain device control records and data in the work order system.
• Evaluate repair scope to maximize uptime cost-effectively.
• Procure parts and materials to service equipment at lowest cost.
• Perform repairs on defective equipment.
• Provide in-service training to others and assist outside service providers.
