Job summary

Jefferson Health in Lansdale, PA, is seeking a Biomedical Equipment Technician to provide advanced maintenance and service for biomedical and clinical data/network systems. Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, calibration, installation, testing, troubleshooting, repair, and QA.

You will lead equipment evaluations, work with vendors, prepare maintenance manuals, and train staff; requires ability to respond to service calls in operating rooms, and to manage uptime while controlling

Qualifications

• Advanced maintenance and QA inspections on biomedical equipment.
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance manuals and QA testing procedures.
• Respond to incident reports to ensure patient safety.
• Lead equipment evaluations, acquisitions and installations.

Responsibilities

• Repairs, installs, inspects, troubleshoots, and calibrates equipment.
• Reviews, modifies, develops, and implements preventive maintenance manuals and QA testing procedures.
• Reviews incident reports and ensures patient safety.
• Leads new equipment evaluations, acquisitions, and installations.
• Obtains quotes and supports bids for capital purchases.
• Oversees external contractors/vendors and provides in-service training.
