Johnson & Johnson is seeking a Senior R&D Scientist in Warsaw, IN or West Chester, PA to advance biomaterials technologies across the product life-cycle.

You will lead design, testing, verification, and regulatory support for medical devices, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver safe, effective biomaterials solutions.

The role requires a strong foundation in chemistry and materials science, plus communication skills and the ability to drive projects in a regulated environment.

Qualifications

• Six years of biomaterials–based medical device or combination product development/testing experience.
• MS in Chemistry, Materials Science, Biomedical Engineering, or equivalent; PhD preferred.
• Experience with medical device regulations (GMP, QSR, ISO) is preferred.
• Knowledge of biomaterial technologies and chemical test methods.
• Strong communication skills to present concepts to management and teams.

Responsabilités

• Support design and development of complex medical devices and projects.
• Act as SME in biomaterials science and chemistry for cross-functional teams.
• Coordinate with design, marketing, quality, supply chain, and regulatory affairs to develop new technologies.
• Develop testing protocols and conduct testing from prototype to validation.
• Prepare and analyze data, write technical reports, and support regulatory filings.
• Contribute to IP development and collaboration with suppliers for manufacturability.
