Bio-Rad Laboratories is seeking a Scientist or Senior Scientist to design and own the pipeline development and ML methods for biomarker discovery across multi-omics. You will build containerized analyses on cloud platforms and guide technical direction within a cross-disciplinary team.

The role combines bioinformatics infrastructure ownership, supervised/unsupervised learning, and product-like collaboration with R&D and engineering. Based in California, relocation is not specified.

Qualifications

• MS or PhD in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Genomics, or related field.
• 3+ years omics data analysis; 5+ years if ownership of workflows and direction.
• Production workflows in Nextflow or Snakemake with Docker or Singularity.
• Experience on AWS or GCP platforms for cloud analytics.
• Fluent Python and R with solid engineering practices.

Responsibilities

• Design and build reproducible, containerized analysis pipelines on cloud infra.
• Develop ML methods for biomarker discovery with multi-omic data.
• Lead multi-omic integration and cross-modal feature alignment.
• Extend tooling for additional omic modalities and applications.
• Contribute to biomarker discovery architecture with cross-team collaboration.
