Bio-Rad Laboratories, Inc is seeking a Scientist or Senior Scientist to lead the ML-driven discovery work within the Clinical Diagnostics Group. The role focuses on building production pipelines, designing biomarker discovery methods, and integrating multi-omics data to support diagnostic development.

You will own the technical direction, mentor team members, and work across statistics, computational biology, data science, and software engineering to deliver scalable solutions on cloud

Qualifications

• M.S. or Ph.D. in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Genomics, or related technical field.

Responsibilities

• Design and build reproducible, containerized analysis pipelines for high-dimensional biological data on cloud infrastructure.
• Develop machine learning methods for biomarker discovery, including supervised, unsupervised, and deep learning approaches.
• Lead multi-omic integration work, aligning features across assay modalities into unified patient-level models.
• Extend internal assay design tooling to support additional omic modalities and new application areas.
• Contribute to the architecture of an in-house biomarker discovery capability, from candidate generation through feasibility assessment.
